The rules vary form state to state, but in most all you need to teach is a certifacate and a bachelors degree. For the university level you deffenitely need at least a masters, with just a masters you’ll be making about the same or less as a high-school teacher. The test times usuallly are 2-3 times a year, you’d have to get in contact with the department of education for your state and they’ll be able to tell you when they offer them near you. I’ve heard it costs anywhere from $80-$200 to take it. The main thing is knowing what age range of kids you want to work with. High-school age you’ll have more time to do your own work and give more complicated projects, but in primary schools you have the fun of working with the kids. Good Luck
